Coach Kelly Rippa

I learned to ride many years ago at Lincoln Woods State Park in RI. The terrain where I grew up and in the surrounding areas is highly technical. I was lucky to travel all over the east coast racing my bike and now get to enjoy hitting up famous MTB destinations. I am a certified PMBIA Level 2 (AIR) Coach and a licensed USA Cycling Level 3 coach. My background is in elite athletics competing at a Division 1 NCAA field hockey program, NCAA Final Four participant, 2x National Team trials attendee, and a NCAA D1 assistant coach. I started mountain biking more seriously after my field hockey career ended. I eventually worked my way up into the pro class for enduros and an occasional xc race. I went on to have a successful race career with many podium finishes and two pro wins. I enjoy working with all abilities and focus on facilitating growth with safety and fun in mind. I am familiar with the dedication and time that it takes to be a successful elite athlete and understand that not everyone has competitive goals. I especially want to work with individuals who are apprehensive about joining a group ride or signing up for an event because they think they are “not good enough.” I learned a long time ago that being a successful athlete takes a lot more than strength and stamina. It takes a belief in yourself and your preparation to reach your goals whatever they may be.
